WCVB Channel 5 Presents “NewsCenter 5 Primetime: 5 On Education Matters”

BOSTON, MA – Tuesday, September 15, 2020 – Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 16 at 8PM, WCVB Channel 5 will air “NewsCenter 5 Primetime: 5 On Education Matters,” a half-hour primetime special hosted by NewsCenter 5 anchors Ed Harding and Maria Stephanos. With most schools in Massachusetts resuming classes this week, “NewsCenter 5 Primetime: 5 On Education Matters” takes a look at the differences in how districts across the state are tackling education in a pandemic and the disparities in tools and resources available to assist students and parents. The program also explores the challenges of transportation for in-school learning and the solutions in place; the rights of working parents struggling to find the balance between their jobs and their children working remotely; and medical experts explain what we know about the ways COVID-19 impacts children of different ages, along with the concerns over mental health for both kids and adults.
