Screen Skills Ireland announces new call for Screen Stakeholders Funding Scheme

Screen Skills Ireland, the skills development unit within Screen Ireland, has announced the next call for applications to the Screen Stakeholders Funding Scheme, which enables organisations and initiatives to provide skills development opportunities for the Irish screen sector.

The Scheme was launched in April as part of the overall measures announced by Screen Ireland to support the creative screen industry as it continues to experience unprecedented levels of disruption as a result of COVID-19. In the first round, €200,000 was awarded to 11 organisations to deliver a wide range of skills development activities.

The Scheme is available for organisations, guilds, and companies that support the screen sector in Ireland and enables them to apply for funding to deliver a series of online events and other activities across a 12-month period.

These activities include courses, events, masterclasses, workshops, seminars, webinars, conferences, panel discussions, networking events, mentoring, coaching, consultancy support, research, data gathering, publication of reports, and the provision of initiatives that support access to the screen sector.

The deadline for the next call is Friday 9 October 2020.
