Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (“THL”) and Frazier Healthcare Partners (“Frazier”) today announced they have acquired Adare Pharmaceuticals, which will be rebranded Adare Pharma Solutions (“Adare”), a leading specialty contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) and global provider of advanced pharmaceutical technologies, from TPG Capital. The acquisition includes Adare’s CDMO, pharmaceutical technology and microbiome businesses, while TPG Capital will retain rights to Adare’s Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) product, which has been spun out into a separate entity.

IU School of Medicine and partners receive funding to deploy collaborative dementia care model

Supported by a $1.3 million grant from the U.S. Administration for Community Living, Department of Health and Human Services, Indiana University School of Medicine and its partners have launched a 36-month venture to enhance, strengthen and expand supports for people with Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) and their caregivers in 34 Indiana counties.

Managed by the IU Center for Health Innovation and Implementation Science, the goal of the Alzheimer’s Disease Programs Initiative (ADPI) is to build upon existing home and community-based social supports to maximize the ability of people with ADRD to remain independent in their communities, said project director Steven R. NASA Enlists Commercial Partners to Fly 10 Science and Technology Payloads to the Moon

Commercial landers will carry NASA-provided science and technology payloads to the lunar surface, paving the way for NASA astronauts to land on the Moon by 2024. Credit: NASA

NASA has issued another request to its 14 Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) partners to bid on flying a suite of payloads to the Moon. The request asks partners to fly 10 NASA science investigations and technology demonstrations to a non-polar region of the Moon in 2022.

Through the CLPS initiative, NASA taps its commercial partners to quickly land scientific instruments and technology demonstrations on the Moon. The initiative is a key part of NASA’s Artemis program. The science and technology payloads will help lay the foundation for human missions to the lunar surface. A provider will be selected by the end of the year, making it the sixth surface task award.
