New research has uncovered the careers that are best and worst for your health by examining two metrics — risk of injury and posture.
Online vision experts Lenstore crunched the numbers finding that some desk jobs present a double-edged sword when it comes to health. Although the odds of facing work-place hazards are pretty uncommon, desk jobs offer limited mobility causing fitness to become a question but overall they are the safest careers, according to the study.
The study, which looked at jobs in the UK, found that jobs in medical fields such as EMTs, paramedics, and dentists ranked as some of the most dangerous due to coming across obstacles such as infection. Dentists were found to have the highest risk, according to the study.
Web developers, which are some of the most in-demand jobs currently, were found to be the least hazardous
