Eric Krebs Announces the Creation of the Nonprofit Science Theater Company

After five successful years of presenting the Drama Desk Award-winning “That Physics Show,” three years of “That Chemistry Show,” and a year of “That Inventions Show,” Broadway and Off-Broadway producer Eric Krebs has announced the creation of the nonprofit Science Theater Company (STC). Digital and other dramatic science demonstration programs offered by STC for diverse audiences will build on the educational and entertainment achievements of Krebs’ previous productions. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Science Theater Company (STC) will be able to vastly increase the size and diversity of the audiences served, and particularly include those currently underserved by science programming. SINGAPORE: More jobs will be available in growth areas like cloud computing and artificial intelligence as Singapore accelerates the creation of jobs in the ICT sector and across the economy, said Information and Communications Minister S Iswaran on Wednesday (Aug 26).

The job creation in the country may struggle in the coming months as the Indian economy is expected to take more than a year to revive. It is also expected that the use of technology to substitute labour would increase, reducing the demand for labour, said a report by Care Ratings. The employment growth number for FY21 is likely to contract for several industries, especially in the services segment. In contrast, IT, banking and finance will continue to be the job creators as they have been less impacted by the coronavirus-led lockdown, the report added.  

The revival in demand will largely determine the growth in employment for consumer-oriented industries while investment trends may drive the same for the capital goods related industries. Employment condition in the country was already daunting
