Domino’s has revealed it is creating 5,000 jobs as it continues to benefit from people staying home amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The new positions will include pizza chefs, customer service workers and delivery drivers, and are on top of the 6,000 jobs Domino’s said it has already created since the start of the pandemic.

Domino’s remained open throughout lockdown and, at the height of the restrictions, claimed that the Government had ‘asked Domino’s stores to remain open and provide local communities freshly made pizza to help boost morale and keep people safe at home’.

Bosses said they would also create 1,000 apprenticeship positions under the Government’s new Kickstart scheme, with ‘ambitious individuals’ given the opportunity to apply for permanent roles following a six-month placement.

Chief executive Dominic Paul said: ‘It was a privilege to keep our stores open during Covid-19 and to now

COVID-19 Pandemic Creates Professional Gap Year Job Opportunity For Young American Special Education Teachers And Therapists

For over 12 years, Apex Social has matched European graduates in care professional fields such as education, therapy, and nursing with American and Australian host families. Now young American teachers and therapists can also benefit from this unique experiential learning job opportunity. The caregivers are fully integrated within their host families and the child’s interdisciplinary education or therapy team, which allows them to learn about new concepts and methods, which they will be able to utilize in their future careers.

“I’ve learned so much by being able to live and work with a child who has special needs on a daily basis, versus as a therapist, when I’d only see a client for thirty minutes once a week,” said Sabrina Kempkes, an Apex Social care professional from Germany currently living with a family in Los Angeles. “I’ve gained a greater understanding of how treatment can be incorporated into

LG creates battery-powered face mask it calls a ‘wearable air purifier’

LG has unveiled a new face mask which includes built-in fans and filters to create what the company is calling a “wearable air purifier”.

The battery-powered mask includes two H13 HEPA filters, similar to those used in home air purifying products, as well as dual fans and a patented respiratory sensor to adjust the fan speed in line with the wearer’s breathing speed.

Called the PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier, LG says the device enables the user to breathe clean air both indoors and outside.

The battery can last up to eight hours on a single charge, and the device comes with a case which houses UV-LED lights that kill germs between uses, while the case can also send alerts to an LG app to notify the user when the air filters need to be replaced, LG said.

West Texas A&M creates a model to bring higher education to America’s smallest communities

It is not often a graduation ceremony comes to the student. And the number of times a ceremony that includes West Texas A&M University president Walter Wendler and four other top administrators driving 436 miles round-trip to present a bachelor’s degree to a graduate can be counted on one finger.

But there they were on the first Wednesday of September, burning up Interstate 20 and U.S. 84 to Roscoe, a town of 1,285 located 50 miles west of Abilene. Awaiting them, among others, was 19-year-old Amanda Sanchez.

There was a method to their mileage.

“We’re here to serve the communities that make up the Panhandle and South Plains,” Wendler said. “We’re not offering a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. What we’re trying to do if a student is interested in working hard and has a chance to gain a college education, we want to be here
